nuke trajectories

ok... forgive me. i know little about mods, and more specifically, about the limits of making mods for defcon. also, what I am about to bring up... has probably been brought up before.

is it possible to calculate nuke trajectories against 3d coordinates, draw the nuke trajectories on the 2d map, and speed up the nukes relative to the amount of arc? in my eyes, this would allow the arcs to display accurately on a 2d map and behave realistically.

bah... after a bit of reading... this looks like a current impossibility short of designing a new game
