"No, nor will i disarm the nukes."
"Oh well, I will have my Fighters shoot them down."

To further explain, main.dat is just a rar archive.

This is probably stuff for a Sci-Fi mod, with uh, tornado causers and ufo launchers as additional buildings?
This is not a signature.

Tornados and UFOs were origionally "world events" that, iirc, are still enable-able when making custom games. of course, it will crash your game, but still feel free.

Theoreticly (That is, me guessing), Tornados were land-only events that 'attack' cities and ground based installations and damage them somehow. Or it messed with fighters. UFOs just fly though the air, shoot at fighters, and vaporize cities. Your fighters/bombers had to chase/nuke them away.

In theory.

Tornados never got invoked by the EWE setting, and there's a screenshot lying about from the alpha involving the UFO's somewhere on my site...

A forum search should turn up a decent set of results on this topic (assuming the server load isn't high enough to disable them).

Perhaps a unfinished feature . i have my theory about this

Tornados for the sea, causing damage in the fleets or made impossible launch bombers fighters and missiles

Ufos for unknow air contacts, you could need send a fighter to intercept and identify the aircraft. could be friend or foe...

From the images that I have seen, UFOs take out everything -- cities, units, everything.

Do you think IV will revisit the world event features and finish them sometime in the future?

Then again I suppose that's akin to asking when multiwinia will be finished...

Fix'd.

And nothing is impossible! I say IV should revisit the world event features. But then again, this is me saying it...like I matter.

...no, I really ment Multiwinia.

Y'know, multiplayer Darwinia? Supposedly it's going to be worked on/completed in 07.

Since origionally Darwinia was supposed to be multiplayer anyway...
