Chris was so kind as to elaborate the sailable/travel_nodes dilemma, and it's "solution":

"Every node must be in a sailable location, and every node must be able to sail in a direct line to at least one other node. The sailable regions are determined by one of the bitmaps, called sailable.bmp." ~ Chris

That makes more sense ;P

I guess I just assumed all the nodes were in contact with at least one other, and deleted them until it worked! Brute Force FTW ;)
