Error - DEFCON won't start! (steam)

Every time I go to start DEFCON with Steam, it says 'Preparing to launch DEFCON...' and then a 'fatal error' box comes up saying "Could not find language 'English'". Then there's another box saying:

"Runtime Error!
Program: c:\program
files\steam\steamapps\common\defcon\Defcon.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to trminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more
information."

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

PS: I already emailed the support team but they didn't get back to me.

Erm, I have defcon steam (no access to it, at work now), but that can't be correct. ~defconDefcon.exe ?

My mistake I fixed it now (THE MISSING '\' NOT THE PROBLEM)

I never had any issues with Steam Defcon, so I am at a loss. I can't find any posts (google fail) about this particular issue, so all I can say is 'reinstall?'.

I have had this problem a lot of times... and if you google the exact phrase, you will get tons of results. It sucks to happen in the middle of a game
