Lack of Graphics Assistance Request

Long story short, my primary laptop was utterly destroyed and I'm back on my older laptop running xp. I blew the dust out, updated the drivers and many websites, including this forum appear strange. I loaded a demo version of defcon from a thumb drive and it's incorrect as well. The color is absent. On this page the background appears completely white and the top bar graphic element under "Post a new topic" is apparent at the ends but cut off just to the left of "Post" and after the text entry boxes. I am racking my brain.

When I last used this computer I offloaded everything I wanted and did a clean reinstall of xp. That was about a year ago and it worked fine. There is too much static on google to come up with an answer.

Can anyone help this defcon player with a tournament in progress? Many thanks.

What brand of laptop is it?


Some laptop vendors have driver packages on their websites. They usually contain all the proper drivers.

This is an HP and I've gone through my drivers with a fine tooth comb already. All updated from manufacturers to insure no lag with HP posting. I continue to be befuddled. Thanks, Wasgood.
