Introversion

I am currently trying to install the newest version of the patch and i can't because i cannot modify the old defcon.exe which is the original game. Attempts to install the new patch over the old version have failed to replace it. I have currently made sure all my setting are such that would allow me to modify the file yet still i am unable to delete it so that i can install the latest version. I am running windows Vista and would really appriciate some help with this issue.

Search the web for Unlocker program and delete the old executable with it. It must be a well-known Windows bug when the OS is blocking files for some hidden reasons.

Be sure to run as Administrator,

Worse case try installing Defcon in another directory like c:\games\Defcon
