mod problems

I cant find the defcon game directory and i cant download mods beacuse of it.
Can you please go through a simple step by step guide for me to install a mod. cos im confused.

You definatelly start it by clicking Defcon icon of sort? Right click on it -> Propeties -> Shortcut. There you will see Defcon directory.

Then it should be pretty straightforward. You can just extact the mod from zanzer7's site into the C:\Program Files\Defcon directory and you should end up with C:\Program Files\Defcon\Mods\<mod name here>.
Or, you can just create a Mod/mod folder in the Defcon directory and put the files there. If you end up with C:\Program Files\Defcon\Mods\Mods\<mod name here>, you did it wrong.

i still dont get it, i click on the defcon icon in my docs and then wat?

To install a mod, follow the directions above.
To apply an installed mod once you have DEFCON running so you can play it, follow these... (see the animated pic)
Start DEFCON
Go to Mods in Main Menu
Select Mod
Click Activate
Click Apply
Go back to Main Menu
Start New Game.
Mods listed in RED mean they have a map that isn't the same as the default map and others that join must be using that same mod. Mods in white mean anybody can join or you can join any other server while using that mod.
