Out Of Syncronization

Postby All American Mobster » Fri Feb 01, 2008 8:13 pm

I have had not that much time to play Defcon lately, but I realized just about every time I've played, either the CPUs are out of syncronization, or I am. Last night, I played with my friend Devon, and it happened again and I had to quit. Anyone know whats happening? It happens when I put six CPUs together as well

Just to clear this up:
- You select "new game"
- You set yourself to spectator mode
- You add six AIs
- You click "start game" or ready or however that button is called
and then the "Out of Sync" marker appears next to the AIs?

yes. pretty much. I set it on random terrritories, press ready, and then it will sometimes say "out of syncronization" next to the players names and a pop up comes up

When you're alone? No other spectator? And the text of the popup is?

This is quite baffling. The out of sync error should only happen when clients disagree about the current gamestate, and in the situation you describe, you are the only client present, and therefore should simply not be able to get a sync error.

Yea, because I played with my friend Devon against CPUs, and mine went out of syncronization, and his didnt. he hosted the game. But if it happens again when I'm playing CPUs, or watching CPUs, i'll be sure to take a screenshot.
