I own a retail copy of Defcon and have successfully authenticated it. I'm playing on Windows.
Two questions relating to authentication:
1. Can I download the linux version and use my key with it, from the same computer? I dual-boot and would like to be able to run Defcon on linux rather than have to reset.
2. I'm going to change location (and therefore ISP) in a few months. Will this damage my authentication?
Thanks.

Yes, as long as you don't run two copies of DEFCON with the same key simultaneously, that is fine.Alex III wrote:1. Can I download the linux version and use my key with it, from the same computer? I dual-boot and would like to be able to run Defcon on linux rather than have to reset.
No. What can happen, in theory, is that your new ISP is blocking communication of the game with the metaserver and the other servers, but then it is no ISPAlex III wrote:2. I'm going to change location (and therefore ISP) in a few months. Will this damage my authentication?
