Why you should never use steam

Postby qbus » Fri Jan 11, 2008 12:59 pm

Dec. 4, 2007 i bought the Introversion Anthology. now less than 2 weeks later it has a new game (DEFCON) in the collection that had been out on steam for over a year. I would like to know if you can add DEFCON to my account or refund my money for my last purchase of $19.95 and remove the other 2 introvison games. Had i known that this game was going to be added i would have held off my purchase. Please let me know how you are planning to resolve this issue. Thank you

I am sorry but there is not much that we can do for you in this situation. It is just a matter of unfortunate timing.

As with most software products, we will not offer refunds for purchases made online as outlined in the software license - please review Section 4 of the Steam Subscriber Agreement for more information.

Valve will NEVER refund anything, or help you out with lost keys - it's all designated "your fault" in the license agreement. The only games I ever buy over steam are those only available via steam.

Is this different from in store? If you got a product in store and it was replaced a few weeks later with one which was a better deal, you wouldn't be able to get a refund on it.
