More problems Now unknown key

Postby radar669 » Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:25 am

Everday it seems I run into a new problem...

Now I am getting an unknown for my key. My other key on the other computer is working fine. You follow every step in there trouble shooting guides and nothing...

If the computer is unable to connect to the metaserver for whatever reason it will give you the "unknown" option, however this still unlocks all the features of the game.

You SURE you're using different keys? :P

The fact that you can both play online seems to suggest your connection is fine - I highly doubt any firewall would be blocking LAN traffic that is allowed over the web. However, the Unknown key does suggest a connection issue... but I don't see where it could be.

My brother and I had this problem with Jedi Academy, we never figured out how to fix it. Basically we could do a direct LAN, or join a third party game, but if one of us hosted a game on the internet when the otehr would try to join it wouldn't let them. We thought it had to do with how we were trying to join the game off of the same internet line, and that somehow trying to host and join a game wonked the system. We could be wrong in that, but I feel your pain non-the-less.
