Ok,,, I think I got that problem resolved... I am still having issues with playing a LAN game I still can not have my friend enter the game I set up.. Everyone else can. Yes there are two different keys.. Yes I made all networking changes suggested... WE can enter other peoples servers and play just not each others we set up...
You SURE you're using different keys?
The fact that you can both play online seems to suggest your connection is fine - I highly doubt any firewall would be blocking LAN traffic that is allowed over the web. However, the Unknown key does suggest a connection issue... but I don't see where it could be.

My brother and I had this problem with Jedi Academy, we never figured out how to fix it. Basically we could do a direct LAN, or join a third party game, but if one of us hosted a game on the internet when the otehr would try to join it wouldn't let them. We thought it had to do with how we were trying to join the game off of the same internet line, and that somehow trying to host and join a game wonked the system. We could be wrong in that, but I feel your pain non-the-less.
