Can not setup LAN to play roommate
I have been trying to set it up for us to play each other by setting up our own server. One can setup other can not enter. Even tried entering the ip and port number... I followed the instructions on configuring the router and still have no success. We can both enter other peoples servers fine but not our own.

Few questions first:
1. Are you trying to run two DEMO copies, or is at least one purchased?
2. When you say you can enter other peoples servers, are those servers on the internet or on a LAN?
3. When you attempt to connect does it detect the other server but not allow you to enter, or does it not detect it at all?
4. Are you both using the most up to date (or at least compatible) version of the game?
5. Can other games connect between the two computers?

The reason I asked was if you could connect with other games then you would know that the connection itself is working.
When one of you sets up a server, does the server name show up on the other machine? I'm not asking if you can connect to it, just if the server as an option shows up.

This right here is what puts my vote for port forwarding. This is what happened to me the last time I did it wrong, I could connect to other servers but nobody could connect to mine. Plus, you're (I'm assuming) on the same internet connection (wife/desktop). You might want to double check your router/firewall/antivirus settings for the ports Defcon needs to use.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast...

When you say you say "ive tried setting the ports the udp and what not..." What does that mean exactly? Are you referring to the settings within Defcon or the router settings (usually accessed by typing 192.168.x.x, type ipconfig on the pc in a command line - Start>Run - to find yours). Are you referring to firewall settings?
I'd start with the router settings and make sure you have the right ports set up for the right IP address/es.
Your debug.txt is just text file located within the main Defcon folder. Something like C:\Program Files\Defcon. Just make sure you remove your Defcon authentication key from the file before posting it for all to see.

I have tried setting the changes in the router. I am not exactly sure what to change port wise within the router. My firewall is fine. Somewhere I am overlooking something. I can set up a game to play and the room mate still can not login the game with me. Other players still can however. I have the port fowarding set on both computers. This is going to end up something stupid that I have been trying to fix for 3 days... LOL. What other information should I put in here to help resolve this... thank you for all your help guys..
