It's certainly a font issue... anyone know the details on how they are rendered?

Try some stable drivers for a start.

Have you reinstalled the game since you got the new graphics card? I doubt it would help, but maybe the windows installer does more than just dump the files there. Try it.

I didn't have the game installed and since i got the new graphics card, i thought i would try out the game.
I just dont know why it doesnt work with beta drivers, i have always played many games with only beta drivers.

I have the same problem, and I have stable drivers. I downloaded the demo off steam, and it worked, but I uninstalled it. When I purchased the game and tried to run it, it appeared just as it does in the screen. Help please.

Does rolling back to a older driver change something?

Check that anti-aliasing or anisotropic filtering is not enabled by default on OpenGL games?

Didn't help me, and all my AA is Application controlled, which I can't really change because I can't read anything in the game!

Delete your install of Defcon, and re-install it using the installer from IV here:
http://www.everybody-dies.com/direct-download

I'd wager that the rapidshare download has been altered some how (especially the key being set to rapidshare...)

I have this same problem too. I have the Steam version and I was previously able to play it no problems. I tried deleting everything and re-downloading it, but it's the same.
