When I Play Defcon I Can't Type

I will be able to sometimes but i'd say about 75% of the time I can't type about 9 letters like ghlmnop all those letters i cant remember them all. I restarted defcon multiiple times and problem always reocurrs. I redownloaded the entire file again and instantly couldnt type. I don't no to much about computers but.

i have about 250gb hard drive 2000or so mb of ram I have 1.8 ghz nividia geforce 256mb grafix card and windows vista

I can still play defcon but team strategy is impossible since all i say is giberish

Thanks alot alt tabbing even if u only bring out screen of all windows automatically messes up typing thanks for telling me and also thanks for info on Panic key ur the best thanks
