victory timer delay

Well I'm using Mac 1.42 but as there's no Mac troubleshooting forum, here goes ...

I just hosted a 6p diplomacy game - at the end Keger tried a cunning backstab on the two leading players in the alliance. Fortunately for me the victory timer ended with me on 71 and keger on 70. But Keger's victory timer apparently kept going for at least another 5 or more minutes, so he finished the game 70:68 up (that one last bomb finding its mark). Very strange. I have a screenshot but nowhere to host it - is there an email address I can send one to? [MARTIANS] was there as well but might have left earlier.
