connection worse with v1.4

Hi,

i was playing today 2 games and my connection was VERY bad after installing the patch, anyone else making this experience?

I had the same problems. Very bad connection. Another chance to improve the game wasted.

Just played a game very successfully, no different to usual. Has your firewall been blocking the new exe by any chance?

firewall is set to let defcon do whatever it wants

The game is improved: you can now play Mac and Linux people

I also have connection problems. It would be nice to know how to fix or a reason for it doing this... the game just keeps attempting into the 70s before I finally give up. no matter how many times i try i wont be able to connect to that particular server. WHY??

Is this with all servers, or just particular servers? Those servers are each hosted by some other player of the game. They may be behind a restrictive firewall or something that does not allow you to connect. If you cannot connect to a server, the problem is probably with the server, not your setup.

maybe but on all these servers there are other players that are on it at the time. usually several other players. and its not private or anything like that so i dont know

I've got the same problem. The game trys to reconnect to the server and it took more than 5 minutes.

This is unlikely to be an issue related to the problems of patch 1.4, especially if you are running a later version. This is most likely the reason it takes so long to resync.
