Port problem?

It seems that I can't get on... However, one major thing which I hope is not it is (but probably is) that I am on a college connection (see ja.net), and I believe the only port they allow is port 80 - would this be the reason why? And if yes, how can I get DEFCON to go through that port instead?

I do remember reading at one time you can edit a hosts file to forward ports, but I couldn't seem to find anything properly through Google.
