Placement tips?

This was the placement I used in the last game I played, although at defcon 1 the northern tip of my territory got pretty fucked up I was quite happy with my naval strategy and in the end of the naval battle I had all but 1 of my carriers and all my subs, but lost all my battleships, can someone give me some tips? I haven't played in a while and want to get back into it
