The Importance of Scouting

Postby Admiral Yoshi » Sun Aug 15, 2010 10:29 pm

SFCON 2 vs. 2 Equalised

North America = Admiral Yoshi
South America = NewPlayer

vs.

Europe = PsyKoTic (I think that's how you spell it :? )
Russia = R3D

You need to scout enemy fleets! Why? So you'll know what's against you and can calculate if you're being outnumbered or outnumbered the enemy fleet! You can know their formations, their placement, how many fighters are out there, stuff like that!

Yea so in the game I played against R3D, I instantly lost when it came to DEFCON 3. He found my fleet, spammed bombers, my ally can't rough him up...and lost!

Back to the guide, in order to scout, have from 1-3 Battleships WITH submarines to provide (submarines are optional). Order them to move to then enemy coast in luck to find the enemy fleet. Simple enough right? When you're battleships are gone for some reason, use fighters (just like 1-3 fighters) to scout out. If found, then SPAM FIGHTERS!

Basically, it's easy to say it. Ace Rimmer, mvpe, Senator, or Mogwai (the spectators of the show except for Ace) might have a few words to say to me right now!

A PERSONAL MESSAGE TO R3D (in Russian :wink: ):

Нет, я просто шучу ! Просто хочу сказать спасибо за игру против меня! Но категорий совершенно неуместным , чувак. Как вы смеете! Я многому научиться от вас, и да ... ты бьешь меня тяжело, как медведь рубить человека! Может быть, в следующий раз будет не так легко для вас , чтобы победить меня, вы знаете! Можем ли мы встретиться снова , как в DEFCON и лично , и Бог благословит вас Господь!

NOTE: If my translation is wrong...tell me and I will tell the real message!

I didnt watch so closely, but one thing I remember. You and the NewPlayer were both in Pacific and outnumbered R3D. I would have given the win to you. R3D even used subs to nuke your fleets, that always looks like an act of desperation to me. But you and NewPlayer had a fine fleetblock ongoing, and so R3D sunk like 10 ships with his sub nukes.
Never ever let your allys fleet touch yours.

If you like name him a "Communist foe" you should use: вы Коммунистической Враг! (read: komunisticzyny wrog) And cyrillic it's rather not the best language to make personal message for West boys and girls :wink:
