WarCup: Senator vs Mrmot strat

Postby trickser » Thu Aug 06, 2009 1:34 pm

I wanted to write some guide how to make a good plan, but nah....however i already made a pic that explains pretty much.

Image

me is Asia, mrmot is NA
green is my estimated split launch point
yellow my planed fleet movement
red is my fighter support chain, that i have already planed when placing my units.

1. What can i protect by silos from silos?
2. How can i protect that area from fleet (and subs)?
3. What i am likley to reach with my silos?
4. How can i attack the area i am not likley to reach by silos.
5. Ask myself the 1-5 again, but this time i pretent to be mrmot (then senator, then.... repeat the loop until i am satisfied)

This game is an good example, because it just goes like the plan. But it also almost failed at some point, so you can see, a good plan isnt everything.
Also i believe its better to force your enemy into your plan then to react to his/her plan. So being fast and pressure before you get pressured is important.

You covered the basics really well

Seriously, if someone outthere cant figure out why he continuse to lose games after he/she improved employed tactics and micromanagment, think about your strategy.
I said if before and i say it again. Im an average players when it comes to naval fights, silos packages, bomber runs, naval nuking etc etc
But its amazing what you can do with a decent strategy and the ability to read a game.
