Using favourite silo formation is a weakness which can be exploited by a high-skilled enemy. That's why I use somewhat random placements, the only common thing for them is grouped silos.

But I guess double line is my favourite. For 6p I usually use single line.

The offset double line is more dense then a normal one, just like the triangle. So if density is important...

It depends on the setup. Where you place your silos in your territory affects their flight pattern. After I decide on the location then I evaluate the best arrangement.

Point of order:

Technically, the Feud is not:

:VV
VRV
:VV

That's a modified setup. I use it, though not as much.

Rather, the Feud silo set up is like my avatar shows.

It is unwise to place your silos in a formation that you can't handle. It is more important to be able to perform an effective launch. The double line is probably the easiest to launch from, imho. I think the Feud is also an easy silo set to launch from with a minimal amount of practice.

^haha

I think the star, and the slanted 6-pk, are the best for tight launches....easiest to time, and they're very close together.

feud and fake feud are soooo versatile, both aggressively (launches) and defensively (the radar in the centre ensures the silos will always have some defensive value).
