I put out single subs, on active, for defensive purposes. I expect to lose them. Dance them around a choke point and your enemy will think twice about coming through. The delay is all I need to win.

Sometimes the best sub strategy is just stealth.... take the time to go the long way round to avoid the majority of enemy units, save for whatever they're using for caostal patrol.....

One time I managed to stealth nuke some really far up north american radars from the artic sea. Can subs move through the bering strait?

I suppose that would be a nice way for Europe to give Asia an unpleasant surprise. But also the artic sea is a great place for staging bomber attacks from carriers.
