You mean 2 fleets, each having 6 subs?...
If yes, then there is no difference at all in 6-player game and it is emmm... not very smart in 1v1s.

I realise youre new to the forums and it's not my place to say but i'm having trouble understanding the questions in your posts :P be more specific....do you mean seperating your subs? 2 fleets or only subs? i dont know, im confused :? ...it tends to sound like you're asking if you should split your subs up and that would depend on what you want to do with them and which game mode but more often than not...definately split your subs up...a few well places nukes or a lucky carrier and you lose all your subs 'don't place all your eggs in one basket' etc etc

EDIT: You reposted after i wrote this :D

That's a question of choice...search/learn about the dedcons and watch some of the 1v1 ladder matches and the use of subs in those games...think about what you use your subs for the most and decide how best to develop that tactic.

smaller fleets would be better, as u don't need 6 subs on 1 attack point, and six ship fleets aren't very flexible, feud is a good user of 6 ship fleets though

Thanks for the kind words.

I almost always use two fleets of six subs, the reason being that I use the for silo popping. If you can clear the water with your surface fleet, then the six subs can knock out about any silo in one volley. Granted, this can be done with multiple smaller fleets as well, but I prefer the larger ones.

I kinda said that because I got mauled the last time I dissed 6 ship fleets, I find 6 ship fleets obvious, and by seeing just 2 of the ships, you know where the rest are, that is the downside

In 6 player games I have been using fleets of 4 or 3, for ships and subs. I haven't played a 1 v 1 in a while, but when I did the 6 ship fleets (mixed or same, and 6 subs) have worked fine. It's better to use something you can handle, than to use something that is potentially better but too hard for you to manage.

So... there is no right way. I've seen players use 1 ship fleets (so 36 fleets in total), and all the way up to 6 ship fleets.

I apologize for going completely off topic, but there is something I really need to say.

Mobster, you're a nice guy and all, but for the love of everything holy, unholy and whatever the third choice is please do not write in leet (or variations). It's annoying, distracting, and completely unnecessary.

Remember kids: Every time you write in leet, a kitten commits suicide!

Perhaps a practical demonstration would be helpful for the matter. This is what your wrote:

All American Mobster wrote:thx guys, ill give it a try l8r on 2nite.

This is how it should have been written:

All American Mobster wrote:Thanks guys, I'll give it a try later on tonight.

Writing in "leet" (sometimes called "1337") is where you put all sorts of nonsense into a sentence, rather then just typing it out. Now, a phrase or expression here or there is one thing, but doing it all the time gets annoying to everyone else really fast.
