Opening up

Hi all,

When using the 'Feud' style silo layout, or similar tightly grouped layouts, how do you decide when to launch an attack?
That's a little general, so let me explain an example I had the other week:

I'm Europe, enemy no. 1 is playing Africa - I've got my silos tightly grouped in Europe and he must have his tightly grouped in Africa. I'm sending down fighters to scout but they are either being shot down or exhausting their fuel before I can see his silos.
So, at this point, the only targets I have are his cities and a few border radar.

If I launch off a nice volley of nukes onto his cities, I'm likely to loose many of them as his silos are in place, so I'd prefer to hit them first. If I nuke his radar, I give away my silo locations.
If I wait too long, other people are racking up points left, right and centre and will be hitting the large cities.

So, what would you do in a similar situation?

I determine who to launch on at the begining, when that actually happens really just depeands on how the game goes.

In your situation, if it is a 1v1, then try to work your navy around Africa to recon. If you can't get fighters in, then sail carriers right up to the coast. If it is a 6v6 then hit Russia or NA instead, Europe doesn't have a good firing arch on Africa to begin with and your missiles would probably be more effective elsewhere.

What Feud said + what are your bombers doing?

I'm not the best for giving out advice, but they should be killing battleships or nuking fleets/units/cities/all of the above.
