Bomber Loitering
Anyone figured out how to do this? I like to send out my bombers before defcon 1 and hold them in an area, prepared for attack. the problem is that I must manually keep them moving in circles or they turn around and come back.
It's called mircomanaging or timing. Using the Beam Attack will also help

DEFCON - Circling Bombers
Not exactly the most useful of techniques but some may find use for this. Here's a rough guide on how to make bombers (and, well, figthers too) circle/orbit carriers and airfields. There is one snag with this technique and that is a current bug with bomber turning circles sometimes being tighter than normal (as seen in part 2 of the following videos).
If you do plan to use this technique, remember that the bombers will eventually run out of fuel so keep a eye on their fuel ranges.
In the following picture take note of how the bomber has been made to pass the airfield such that its wing tip touches the edge of the target circle. The time to give the order for the bomber to land (making it circle) is when the line from the bomber to the target pointed at by the cursor is pendicular to the direction the bomber is traveling i.e as shown in the image.

I noticed a bug yesterday where one of my bombers got stuck against a battleship. It just sat there wiggling and turning in place. Enemy units shot away at it but it was completely invulnerable. Hope it doesn't get used as an exploit.
Yeah, that has been reported a couple of times. It hasn't been fixed, yet.

beam attack plus?
i don't know if this is part of the standard "beam attack" or not, but... what I like to do is beam attack a target that is past the intended target. You could tell them to nuke the ocean on the other side of the continent. I'll let some bombers launch as soon as possible, then the defense will shoot the nukes, not the bombers. The early ones act as a good nuke umbrella. You could use subs instead of other bombers. when my bombers are really close to the actual target, i let them launch simultaneously. This allows very little time for the silos to shoot their nukes down, but it also can kill the bomber in the explosions if it's a little too close. Also, bombers are very vulnerable to fighters during this. If it's very quick and overwhelming most bombers can make it back, though.
