How to hit SouthAmerica/ Africa

Im new at this game so... every time i send nukes to hit these guys they aways fly over US or some other country and get shot down? any way around that? other then subs bomber and take the other countrys out fist

Get them to ally with you really (or at least to declare cease fire)

But taking them out first is always a good option

You could use subs and bombers.
You could destroy North America/Europe/USSR first.
You could ally with North America/Europe/USSR.
You could convince North America/Europe/USSR to cease-fire with you, so that your nukes can fly over unaccosted.
You could place your silos farther south, so the arcs don't take them near enemy territory.
