Does the angle of impact make a difference? For example, does hitting a carrier in the side give you a better chance of sinking it than if you hit it in the front?

I think the angle at which a missile is fired at a nuke affects the chances its destroyed. Ive found that nukes heading at a straightish angle to a silo will take a lot less 'near misses' than one going past it.
