Yeah, when the patches are consider pretty final (which is not far from being the case) a Linux updated version will be release and the DevCD should also get updated.

Yay! Now to see if Uplink compiles with GCC 4... well, later anyway. Thanks for all the work that's been put into this :-) If any help on the Linux side is needed, please feel free to give me a yell.

It can be a tad hard to see the difference between the green mission servers and the yellow user-selected servers. Could you make the user-selected servers a more distinct color, such as brown, red or etc?

Also, could you have it save link marking status?

red, is already taken ( _spoilers_ )
brown, don't look nice (and hard to see)
white is taken
black is the background color
all variations of blue or purple are hard to see on the world map

Which pretty much leaves : green, yellow or orange

I guess I could try orange.

So, I'm a bit confused. Is this an official patch? Why is it not on the website?

"just a beta".... All of these patches? That last patch on http://www.uplink.co.uk/otherfiles.html is 1.31...is 1.31 the last fully released patch?

yeah, the last official patch is 1.31, but the 1.47, 1.48 are _almost_ official since they are distributed on the online download store.
