I've noticed that when I use the current password, uplink0911 it does not update to 1.54. Perhaps this is an incorrect password?

Do you own a copy of the Dev CD? if so, you should have the required access.

This is just a announcement thread for the Steam version of Uplink.

What you want is probably Uplink 1.54 Patch/Demo (Windows/Linux)

so how do you use mods in steam, nothing was said.

You cannot use Mod which replace the executable (Like the FBI mod).

But you can use Gateway mods and all. See Modlink.

You need to find uplink steam directory (ie: [Your Steam directory]\steamapps\common\uplink ) and do as usual from that point on.

There is a unofical patch out there. patch 1.60

Fixes: ip dialer now dials zero instead of skipping it
Fixed: uplink now automaticly detects your current resolution and runs at that resolution for the first run.

The patch is awailable at onlink website.

The official version on Steam now is 1.54, can you update it to the 1.55 ?
I don't want to use the command line, I need it for other games.

Please!
