The latest version of the testing patch can be downloaded here.
The list of changes can be found here.

Several potential crashes have been fixed with this release and it's getting towards "stable" quality.

We have 3 signed Defcon units to award , drawn randomly from all players who successfully complete Uplink before the end of August.

In order to enter the competition, you need to send the code that will be presented to you during the game to uplink-defcon-competition@introversion.co.uk together with your save game file.

The code will be presented on the end-game score screen if you have successfully completed the ARC mission, or by means of an email if you complete the Arunmore mission. This will only happen if you create a new agent in Uplink 1.34 or later.

It is important to note that any agent files loaded in Uplink 1.34 or later will be resaved in a new format, incompatible with older versions.

When installing, please be sure to fill in the userinfo.txt file with your details.

Please can you report any bugs you find in the Bug Reports forum.

Note that this particular release of Uplink is unlocked for a limited time. After that time, you will still be able to continuing existing agents, just not start new ones without the codecard.

Thanks for all your help testing the patches so far, it is much appreciated.

Yeah, good question. Just managed to get near the net a few days ago to post my entry. I really hope I made it in time.

The winners will be annonced in the coming days, once the validity of the entries are verified.

Also, don't worry, if your entry was in before the end of August you are in.

I'm not the one receiving the entries, JamesL is. Next time I see him I'll ask.

OMG, i'm the worlds biggest loser. i'm the only one that didn't finish uplink in before augest, with all the errors and everytime when i was near the end. the other day darksun was laughing at me because i couldn't hack into the arunmor's LAN something was wrong i couldn't get the probe to continue the path along the LAN and i know how to hack them because i've done it many times before then another time the game crashed and i couldn't get back on it just kept giving an error. anyway, congratulation to the winners that i still don't know who they are yet.

Keep your panties on. Defcon hasn't even been finished yet.

that's why i am not asking for the names of the winners, but merely an estimate when those names can be announced.
