Steam Release not working anymore

Hi,
i hope this is the right topic, i wasn't active here anymore in a long time. I just noticed that Uplink on Mac over Steam is not working anymore.
Upon starting it, MacOS states that the app is corrupted and recommends moving it to the recycling bin. I tried the stable and beta release, verified game files, but it still happens. Apparently other players are affected as well, according to the steam thread.
Tested on a Mac Mini with M1.
Does someone know a workaround / fix or something?
