Hello everyone,
I recently purchased but have no recieved yet the Mac version of uplink.

I found out that I am going to be traveling to India for work, and as such would like be be able to play uplink on my old powerbook as opposed to my powermac.

The powerbook I have is a Ti G4 500, it has an 8MB ATI Rage Mobility 128 in it.

Will this be able to handle the OpenGL from uplink?

Any information would be appreciated.

The system requirements are: 128mb RAM, G3 or better, OS 9 or X.

It looks like your system more than meets these, so I wouldn't think you would have any problems. :)

Thank you for the info! I appreciate that.

I can't wait to play uplink on the plane, simply because I know I will get some strange looks.

LOL, that would suck if there were a marhsall that thought I was auctually up to something.

What is funny is that most people are simple enought when it comes to computers that something like uplink would appear to them to be real. I mean it is even more serious appearing than some of the stuff you see Hollywod putting out.

Hey it whould be a nice 'research' to do.. see how people react to such things... Act a little bit draw a little attention to yourself by 'trying to not draw attention'. like wear a dark coat sunglasses etc, sit in a cafe across the bank (make phonecall saying something like 'The black rabbit is in position') and start 'hacking a bank'.
Have a friend take pictures (hidden ofcource) of the reactions. :D
