Updating MAC uplink.......HOW???

OK can anyone help plzzzzz.... i bought the retail version of Uplink off the introversion website for MAC so its version 1.3.1. If i want to update it, do i download the ambrosia patch 1.3.1-1.3.2 or the otehr ambrosia patch 1.3.3.?? plus will this work even though the retailm MAC version is done by Contraband?

Make sure it is the Mac patch you download first. Then just follow the instructions, go from 1.31-1.32 first, then use 1.33. Then start up the game. The game was ported to the Mac by Introversion and Ambrosia, not Contraband.

Actually Contraband were the people who actually did the port. Ambrosia is just the publisher (they contract out a lot of coding to Contraband).

Once again I stand corrected. I honestly never heard that Contraband did the port.

...I'm starting to notice a lot of contracting out....Uplink contracted out to Ambrosia, now Ambrosia contracted out to Contraband....any chance that Contraband contracted out to another? lol

Contraband contacted Introversion initially, and did the initial port, then helped get Introversion and Ambrosia in touch with each other. Ambrosia became the Mac publisher in the US, Introversion in the UK, and Contraband did the port.

yes Ambrosia publishes it... Contraband coded it, yada yada... but when I try to update it to 1.3.3 from the online Ambrosia download... I get the "You must buy this..." dialogue. How can i update without this nuisance... I'm not paying another 25 bucks
