whenever I quit after I play for a while it will not save my progress and I know I havent reached the end of te game I keep reinstalling but this still keeps on happening to me no matter what I do... even if I start a new user now it will go right back to the tutorial mission when I start up again... HELP!!!

Make sure the program has permission to write to the Uplink and Uplink/users folders, specifically the .usr files.  If problems persist I would go to the webboards at www.ambrosiasw.com as they are the publisher of the Mac version and the people there know more about the Mac specifics.  :)
