Yeah, well done to all involved to bringing this great game to another platform. So, Chris, when's the PS2 version out?

Just wondering but why did it take so long to convert to MAC. Does it require almost complete recoding to change systems.

I think the actual porting was not too bad, but they ran into (and still have it would seem) some driver issues with the Mac hardware.  :)

Do we really need another forum for the mac version? I mean, isn't it exactly the same for both versions, so why not just use the other forums?

No there are some major differences in reference to errors, performance, etc.  Although most Mac guys will be at the Ambrosia boards.  :)

Hello,

Thanks for making Uplink available on the Mac platform ... i really love the concept, it change from all the other games actually wich too often look the same.

It make me remember the first age of games on computers where games dev spent more time on the idea and scenario ... thanks ! ... some people here are too young to remember theses days ;-)

I've been waiting for this since I first played the demo on Linux (that was when it was only a month or so old :) )

Why didn't you just buy the Linux version, instead of waiting?

Chris (and all of Introversion), thank you.

Been a fan of Ambrosia for years, and when I saw Uplink, I was like "Yay! New game!".

Downloaded the demo, loved it. Bought it.

Found out Introversion made it.

Now I love Introversion.

Good Mac games are rare enough, and good PC games that bother making a port to Mac are even moreso.

For that, you have my heartfelt thanks and deepest respect.

Can't wait for Darwinia... ;)

Keep up the good work.

For one thing, don't bump topics that are over a year old, although this forum is rarely viewed and therefore it doesn't really matter. To find good Mac games go to http://www.apple.com/store/ and go to third party software.

Thanks for the link. :)

And yes, I know this is a very old topic (I mean, it's about when the Mac version came out!), and I apologize for bumping it (though as you mentioned, nobody hardly ever comes here).

But it's rather rare one gets to personally thank the creators of a game one enjoys, and I felt I should/could despite the age of this thread.

And as for the comment about Mac games, I manage, but it was more of a general comment and mark of respect to IV for bothering with the Mac port.
