Ok, I've gotten Uplink working on the 1.31 patch before, but for some reason now whenever I install the game (I reformatted a while ago and hadn't gotten around to reinstalling it) and update it, it repeatedly tells me that the file glut32.dll can't be found. I've already re-installed it 3 times and tried updating it, but it keeps giving me the same error when I try to run the game from the app that the patch puts into your uplink folder (uplink.exe). It's not that the game doesn't run at ALL, the initial shortcut the installer places on your desktop lets me play the game, but I can't use any of my skins... >_<
Ideas?

sorry i cant help all i can sugest is posting this in the bugs section.
paste in the de bug log maybe that will give us some clues to what is wrong.

Do you mean that glu32.dll is missing from your CD?

This happened to me before, all you need to do is run the uplink file directly from the Uplink folder you installed it to on your drive. Also if you want, run a shortcut from there and it should work.

I've searched the CD for the file a couple times and come up empty handed...
As for running it from the folder, it doesn't work... Gives the same error. Only shortcut or ANYTHING to the game that does work for some reason is the one that the installer (when you install uplink) put on the desktop...
This hasn't ever happened before, so it's quite confusing... :s

We frown upon that behaviour, especially when the problem is long solved and no one really cares anymore. Doing something like that within your first ten posts is not a smart idea.
Now in future think before you post, suffering from PEBKAC is a bitch, especially for us to be affected by some elses case of it.
