Well, I looked at that website you posted, Rkiver.

Looks very interesting, I think I'll get into it. Or at least try to.

Thank you!

How do you think - you write there "Adam", and click search. What if there is hmmm 25 Adam's ????   Or when you write incorrect surname , how uplink can know that you DON'T search THIS (incorrect) surname ???

And also, the systems U R hacking is not designed to please hackers(crackerz) that are in a hurry. Think about that, the goverment doesent really want the hackers to be free.

er.. i guess everyone agrees that the database (search engine) in uplink suxx..

also why aren't there any WOMEN in the databases??..... is the whole friggin' world populated by just men?...
not all hackers are guys ya know?...

also.. are the people with no pictures agents just like you? why don't THEY have a picture?
is it so bad to want to see how the person you're going to send to jail (3 hours from now) look like?

why does <insert name here> have so many CLONES?? it's weird typing "deceased" over and over with similar faces staring back at you... (yes i understand about the limitations... but it's still funny tho')

i dunno.. it's just frickin' weird.... don't mind me...
..ehhehh..

There are no women in the database since this would have meant extra code to ensure that you don't get mens names and womens pictures, or visa versa. And there are only about 15 photos, so you get a lot of clones.

And pascal doesn't suck, it's an easy to use language that is a good step into C++

Well, on the note of VB and C, if you like programming in VB, you will LOVE C, you don't have to worry about all the checkpoints and slowness of VB, much more freedom, but way more responsibility for being accurate.

On the issue of C++ being Microsoft, you were incorrect, MFC is Microstoft's variant, C++ is just a style meaning C increment (or next version). There are other flavors too, like Borland C++, etc.

Hope I didn't bring up any soreness

Why does everyone seem to like to bump *this* topic? This topic is over five months old.

The first page of this forum spans more than 2 year, most people simply don't realise this. They simply see a topic on the first page and don't really think to check the date. It is not really bumping as long as they are only replying to topics on the first page and are doing so in a constructive manner. This forum is just so inactive that it really doesn't matter. :)

Point taken, I'd better start focusing on other things then.
