how do i get the gateways too work

i have downloaded a few gateways and i can't get them too work. how do i do that????

You generally just unzip them to the Uplink directory.  Most should have a readme file with them which gives you detail instructions (there is a reason it is called "readme", it is to be read).  :)

Before posting after this post, read this post at least twice or untill you understand the infomation I have posted.

If you unziped them correctly they should apper in: Uplink Internal Service Machine
under the Update Gateway section at the buttom of the list of gateways,

and Unzipping new gateways into Uplink does not remove any of the other gateways, you will have to use the scrollbars at the right side of the list.

if nothing happens make sure that you have updated the game to at least version 1.31.

Add: If it still does not work, read the 'mods.txt' in the Uplink directory on you harddrive and find the gateway section.
