My game data isn't stored at game shutdown

My game data isn't stored at game shutdown,All i can do is play an hour or two,then its back to nothing.
any advice?

Chances are, you aren't running with sufficient user privileges. If you're in XP, use your admin account. If you're in Vista, write click on the .exe and look for a permissions option; the game needs to be able to create files and folders in order to save.

Is there a "save button? no save button :(if not is there any other means of witholding my game after shutdown?

Operating system: Windows XP 64 bit w/ admin rights.

Is this only me? I would like any advice!!

sorry people!! I was mistaken,i got er fugured out.but i still get the occasional BSOD.But have no idea whats causing.

BSODs are most often caused by buggy drivers, dying hardware is next on the list. Unless the OS is bugged or flawed (which Windows isn't any more since the NT family took over), no application error can cause a BSOD. So, updating/downgrading your drivers is your best option there.
