Sound

Postby Killerzax » Sat Sep 09, 2006 12:48 am

I'm trying to make a mod for Uplink, and I want to add some of my own sound files to the sound.dat file. First, when I convert it back to sound.dat from the unzipped format, soundgarden didn't recognize it. Then when I just left it as a normal /sound/*.wav format, it recognized all the files but the ones i put in. Soundgarden generates an output saying my files aren't .wav files, but they are. Anyone know or have any ideas how to fix this?

First, sound.dat is a zip file done with 'store' compression (anything else will not work).

As for the audio file, it seems not all audio editing program generate something Uplink is able to play. I know Cool Edit works.
