These damn errors when u try to install the DEVcd mods its really pissin me off if some body could tell me whats going on it will be great

You must first be updated to Version 1.31 before attempting to use a mod. You must also create a new user for the mods.

i am running version 1.31 and ive tried using a new user but still the damn error comes up!!!!!!

2) If you want help, give us more information then "I get errors". What errors? What are they saying? What line of code do the refer to?

the error says A fatal error occured with uplink. Uplink will now shutdown thats the error!

Copies of Uplink purchased through Trygames cannot run DevCD mods due to a change that appears to have been made to the game files. There is currently no solution for this problem.

Ah, a Trygames buyer. Yes Introversion get no money from that at all due to those wankers who refused to give IV their money.....Go buy the game from Introversion, it'll work. Also see the error, it is for neott's FBI mod, not us.

No, SF, a canadian company, were repsonsible for the American release of Uplink, under the name Uplink: Hacker Elite. They tend sold it via trygames. But SF have filed for bankruptcy and have not paid IV any of the thousands they owe.

Ah I see. And their version does not allow people to use DevCD mods that they have created so it was one big waste of money for introversion. Wouldn't they need introversion's permission first?

Thank you for your answer, this thing has been driving me nuts because I could not load any Mods without errors. I just purchased the Dev CD and I'm heading back to the Introversion site to purchase the legit version.

Friggin TryMedia, this is the last time I purchase from them.
