Uplink Mainframe

i think there should be an uplink mainframe. this should where they store the agent data. i think this should be the hardest system in the game

There is the Uplink Internal Services Machine which fits that description. :)

i know but you dont normally get a high secruity internal services so they should put it on a mainframe instead

I disagree there, UIS is the easiest server in the game to hack, i had the agent list and agent data with about 50secs still to go before they actually catch me.

Completed a specialty mission cos of that, yay.....

Uplink Mainframe COULD exist, but there's no way to reach it if it does, since InterNIC doesn't show mainframes and you can't get its IP from anywhere in the game.

UIS was too easy. the problem is infinite routing.

first time i did it, i punched up internic, and grabbed EVERY link to an internal services machine. routed through like all fifty of them, and finished the hack with like 100 sec to go (it was a 4 minute trace)

Yeah. This is a real problem. If anyone has the sense to go to InterNIC, they'd have really slow traces. Maybe that's why Uplink includes it with your beginning "usefull" links. InterNIC more than fits that description.

i'd like it if there was an ability to steal an agents pass and login and enter UIS using it and copy his software, IPs and stuff.
