I think mincetro's use of the "the sequel to uplink" tag was good.  That way you can pick a good name without messing with captions.

Avatar- the sequel to Uplink
Technomancer- the sequel to Uplink
Cybernaut- the sequel to Uplink
Datahounds- "
Downloading Midnight- "
I AM THE PHANTOM- "
Wire Riders- "
In Search of Mentor- "

As for the prevailing style, I think the technical, game-feature-as-opposed-to-plot related names are best:

Uplink II: Connection Lost (Access other connections in progress?)
Uplink II: Opening the Gateway (Hack Gateways?!)
Uplink II: Path of Connection (Much more complicated tracing?)
Uplink II: Outside the Box (More Hardware Customization?)
Uplink II: IRL (Bodyguards, name changes, gateway relocation. going on the run)
Uplink II: Gatelord (More Sysops?)
Uplink II: Hacker Alliance (Multiplayer?)

Just plain "Uplink v2.0" would probably be best, though, if Introversion stuck with the raise-the-hairs-on-the-back-of-your-neck premise that Uplink is a disk that real future hackers go out and 'acquire', install on a home computer, and then use to make dial-up access to an international corporation's server which allows them to hack anonymously.  It would just be the latest release from our friends at Uplink Corporation.  Especially if they kept the same game-world; echoes of Revelation could still be around.
If you bring forth that which is within you, it will save you.
If you do not bring forth that which is within you,
it will kill you.

Actually I think this is the longest running thread. Well... it is technically still running. The last post there was not that long ago. It has just become invisible.

To keep on topic:

Uplink 2: The Fall of Uplink (a hacker noir story)
Oh no... More Uplink!

The fact that is now invisible (it went almost a full year without a reply) makes in inactive to my reckoning.  :)
