To bad for Uplink. I liked it, but reading all these posts made me realise something (and probably some more people who did): I can just play Uplink again, and wonder: what would I do if I had even the slightest understanding of things like java, C++ and whatever is out there? Beside that, I've seen quite some people talking about their mods/upgrades/sequels, but none of them ever posted to tell us where they've gotten with their struggle for more Uplink.
Anyone up to the task to do so?
To all flamers: telling people that there won't be another Uplink, doesn't really help much, you've probably read the title of this forum when you clicked on it.
To everyone that didn't flame: thank you for not doing so, have fun, and can someone please tell me the sollutions to the hints posted on http://guide.modlink.net/section9.php ? I bought my version via Steam, so i'm already not capable of seeing the secret note, and definetly not capable of checking the bonus disk.

And telling people there wont be another uplink, well there is a sticky topic about it. But one thing we've learnt on here, people don't read what's pinned at the top. Introversion themselves said that they wont be doing Uplink 2.
They may change their minds, who knows, but for now, they wont. So all the "great ideas" people have, are just that, ideas. Want to see uplink 2, code it yourself. That's all we can say.
The hints. The whole point is you work it out yourself you know.
Finally, email address on a forum. Prepare for a world of spam as bots that troll for such things find it and sign you up to every form of spam and porn on earth.

The reason why I didn't put this thread on the sitcky forum is:
I clicked the wrong button...
Even more, I know there wont be another uplink from IV, you made that clear enough, but I didnt ask for that. I asked for the ideas of the people willing to put their time uplink 1.5, and what's wrong with that? You guys were all complaining that to many people say "We are going to make the uplink 2 everyone wants" and, as you correctly say, none has yet said anything about that. That's why I asked, you see.
By the way, quick reply. Are you still checking this forum on a daily basis after such a long time?
And to answer your first question last: I am someone who really likes/liked uplink, and has somewhat come to peace with the fact there won't be another one. I'm now checking the DEFCON demo, maybe I'll like that one to.
