Patch Idea - Built in HTML Viewier

Postby r0cKy » Tue Oct 16, 2007 10:44 pm

I don't know about others,

but i think it would be great to have an inbuilt HTML hud, would be great for new users as they could have mod link loaded in game in order to help them out.

Just a simple idea ... that would save a lot of effort from people on forums and in IRC to help people asking questions when its a lot easier for them to have the mod link guide open in game.

the people that alt+tab are the people coming into IRC or onto the forums to ask questions BEFORE going through the guide.

Personally i am one of those people that use linux, so it would have more of an advantage to me.

And the ones Tabbing for IRC are too cheap/poor to buy the in-game connection :P (Thought it IS ubsurdly expensive when it has no real use for the game)

I play Uplink on linux when i'm in my Linux class...made me cry when i couldn't tab out :( So i know your pain.

However i think the problems lie in the screen size of a web browser and trying to mimic browser code into uplink. Since the guide isn't really going to change anytime soon, how about someone creates a server in the game that you can "legally" access that has the info in it.
