Looking for AMD replecements for CPU...

Postby Lord_Greystar » Thu May 17, 2007 8:33 pm

I think this would be a good modlink.com question however there no longer seems to be a forum on ModLink... I am looking for the .tif images to replace the Intel or default images for the processors in Uplink... so I can make my own skin. I personally preferr the AMD processor... I'm working on some gateways at the moment and throwing around Ideas for what I want them to look like. I would just like to include amd processors as an option instead of intel or the default blue... if someone could supply those for me it would be appreciated... I'll post here if I no longer need them... I always come back to playing UPLink when I get tired of my other games... I've been going through a dos game phase at the moment, but I have been playing Uplink for the past 3 days.

Thanks for the great game (wish there was going to be an Uplink 2)

I guess you already know this but you could start from scratch from the provided graphics\upgrades\cpu.tif (graphics.dat).

As for DOS games, I played Syndicate and American Revolt extension 1 year ago (thanks to DOSbox), I do remember doing back to Dune 2 and Privateer a couple of years ago (but now that Freelancer is out that going back isn't needed anymore ;) ).

Just slap this on top of the processor graphic, which can be found by extracting the .dat files as .rar archives. My greatest memories of DOS games are with Bitmap Brothers games like Gods and Xenon - old Sid Meier games are also worth checking out.
