Maybe you could have a mod, where you are an actual person, who can walk around the streets of where your office is, when you select it at the start of uplink as a registered agent..
Anyway, you can either get missions from other corporations by walking into their home corporation, or email them, you can fly to other countries if you just hacked a company and got caught, to keep your heat down, and it will be the same, and if you try to hack in ARC's mainframe, and get caught, they can kill you, by as usual a silenced glock 17, you can buy mods for your gateway, everything on the present uplink, but in a 3D adventure type...

but the walk around your office part sounds droll.
it removes the fact it's a hacksim and just makes it a RPhackking game.
Uplink is a fictional OS hack sim, i would love to see some 3d darwinian interfaces in the game however.
