Double Tap Escape

Postby Riffz » Wed Oct 18, 2006 5:09 am

Hello,

Have been a long time fan of Uplink since it's release and have recently bought both Defcon and Uplink over stream :)

The quick double tap of escape to minimize defcon is awesome, and would love to see this added to Uplink.

Awaiting 1.51 on steam ;)

You may just have to get the devCD and learn how to mod it yourself, if the few people who are still at it don't feel like helping someone who (in their words), "Has great ideas for uplink, but wants someone else to do all the work."

Some of the veterens can be a bit jaded when it comes to people who ask questions about things out of shear curiosity or honestly trying to help those who can to improve the game.

Some veterens on the other hand are great about working with newbe's. It just depends. They tend to be rough on girls to... Though I don't know why... on the IRC rooms they get irritated with people easily and don't seem to play the game much anymore. From what I gather it's more of a place for those who used to be into the game that have since become friends.

I was given the cold shoulder by most of them, a few where sweet though.

It was a bit of a rude awakening for me... I didn't expect the Uplink community to be so exclusive.

Oh wow. Wow, wow, wow. Didn't I see this in the general forum? Maybe you should stop being such a fucking dumb n00b and act like you know what you're doing. We don't want to hear anymore of your sob stories of how you were laughed at for your stupidity or anymore of your bullshit. I know you havn't been around for a while but you're starting to remind me of someone we once called jaygee....
I wasn't here.

well that's because I have run into alot of people who pass judgement off on those who seek help and riddicule them for the same things you have done before you gained your experience.

you where new once as well and I know there was a time you had questions as well

I just think that the attitude of some of the veterans is incredibly poor...

I think if you get to know me your opinion might change...

feel free to contact me...
