Uplink dead.... forever?

Is Uplink dead? There are no new mods and sequels. Why? Because IV decided to leave Uplink alone? Can't be! I know that some hacking simulators are too buggy and crappy to beat Uplink but Dark Signs does. And, maybe Uplink will lose this game, burned to the ashes. Burned by it's rivals.

Have you not seen some of the sign up dates here? 2001.
That meens this forum has been active (alot) for the past 4 years.
Uplink Is a superb game. I could even say that it was THE best
hacking simulator out there. I have tried DS, and yes it was okay
But I am more partial to Uplink.

As I said before, Uplink has a strong loyal community (rich coming from me a new guy, but).
The Veterans have been here for 3-4 years.
There are new members joining every-single day.

There is no way that Uplink is dying, now, or anytime soon.
And if your disappointed about the lack of new mods,
By the dev cd, and start coding.

Heh. Uplink was released nearly 4 years ago, so why IV don't make sequel for it? Iv's making sequel for Darwinia. Now some beautiful message from Chris about sequels:

A sequel to Uplink would be neither innovative nor original.

Now as IV seem to stand for that sort of thing, rather than just churning out the same old stuff with prettier graphics, it would suggest, just as IV have said many, many times before that..

THERE WON'T BE A SEQUEL.

Excuse me, it's just.. Do you somehow not SEE that?

Of course I have seen it. But, if IV's making sequel to Darwinia, why they just don't make the same with Uplink?

Darwinia and Uplink are not similar in terms of genre.

Darwinia is far more open to a sequel.

Uplink is not.

Because their to busy with Darwinia perhaps?

Edit - You must also remember, IV have released a few patches for
Uplink, and there are plenty of mods out there.
The game is 4 years (ish) old for god-sake.
You cannot expect them to work on it for years...
