We don't need the emphasis to realise that your grasp of grammar is useless ;)

It's not really necroposting if it's stickied. And VEST: you can make whatever changes you like to it if you buy the DevCD .

I'm disappointed severely about Uplink Online. An online version - especially perhaps hunting down other players, through logs or through missions. That'd be awesome... Undeleting a log, and owning some hapless player. IP Lookup their Gateway, hack it, perhaps, and either get their real name and frame them in the GCD OR slaughter them by framing them for bank fraud... or hacking a central mainframe, or some other high-security system... Maybe even a LAN. Then, suddenly, they're disavowed for something they had no idea they even did. That would be funny, and man, I'm disappointed I'll never get the chance to do that... *Sigh...*

uplink is my favourite game... i met it before 4 years and still holds my interest

i would like very much to see a continue...

but anyway...

even its graphics are low compared to any other today game i cant think of a better interface to create a game like this....

all i want to do by making this reply is to thank you for creating such a masterpiece.

the best hacker game that exists

I know I know, major necro...

I know this is a major necro, but I felt like pointing out that there are a couple of multiplayer hacking games out there now, and at least one of them has turned into a griefers vs noobs game. I played for 2 days and quit after getting flamed on the forum for admitting I was new and wanted to know who had hit me and how they'd got my IP.

The point of the game leads to exactly what that game turned into when it is made multiplayer. The exception is a game that is multiplayer and geared around more coop style gaming, but I don't see any hacker type game turning out as a multiplayer coop game.

Listen. i'm just gonna be straight up with this. i know u said that theirs not gonna be an online version, but just think of how much better it would make it. plus if u could talk and interact with other hackers uplink could become huge and so could IV's wallet. u could also create drag and drop or simple code software and system designers, so u could build your own software(e.g. log deleter, proxy disable and ip lookup, then you just type in the ip u wanna clear all logs on) and systems to keep your software on. u could even create your own companies and recruit hackers to steal or delete rivals software for you, and the list goes on. you never know uplink could be the next warcraft. Uplink has huge potential. don't let i die as an ugly duckling let it grow into a swan.
